Movie Review 3.5/5

A husband and wife doesnt need a problem to pick a fight.Being Husband and wife reason is enough”. Is the monologue dialogue given by Mithra (Shradha Srinath) in beginning  of the film, And the theme concept of movie revolves around this dialogue.

This film takes us on a journey alongside three young couples as they navigate the challenges of maintaining their relationships after marriage. Rangesh, a male chauvinist, expects his wife to be a homemaker and ultimately files for divorce when she doesn't meet his weight expectations. Arjun and Divya, once deeply in love, struggle to find that same spark in their marriage. And Mithra, a psychologist and marriage counselor, faces her own relationship troubles as her husband wants her profession to set aside in office and be a normal  wife with love, care and possesiveness to him instead of being a psychologist where she tries to avoid problem without indulging in fight.

Tamil Cinema has always been renowned for its iconic cult classics, thrilling action-packed films, and hilarious comedies. However, it seems that the audience has now developed a taste for emotional and family dramas as well. Among these, Irugapatru has emerged as a popular romantic drama, followed closely by Dada and Good Night. It's great to see the industry diversifying and catering to a wider range of audience preferences.

Positive Aspects:

The movie's writing was truly exceptional, with a captivating storyline that left me in awe. The director's unwavering dedication to creating a realistic, emotional, and theatrical film is truly praiseworthy.

Negative Aspects:

The plot of the movie seemed to drag on a bit and at times, it was difficult to follow. Additionally, the pacing was a bit sluggish compared to other movies.

“Overall This film takes you on a thrilling journey filled with joy, sorrow, miscommunication, conflicts, and reconciliation. The characters' shared experiences reflect upon your own relationships.
