This movie starts from the life of Jaya whose father ambition was to see her like late India's prime minister Indira Gandhi, But fate turned her life nonethless like a normal middle class girl life. She was forced to drop out of college and marry a poultry farm man ( Rajesh ) who is also a male chauvenist. Director had brilliant visual representation of inkling Jays's future with those broken furniture and glass when she enter into her law's house. There wasn't much space in the name of romance for these newly wed couples. Rajesh who was male chauvinist and egoistic person always demands idiyappam and chickpeas for food. One day he slapped jaya for serving aviyal instead of chickpeas. Though he convinced her by movie date. Lately, this slapping become common habit for Rajesh. Even jaya's parents refused to help her when she cries for help, advising her it;s very common among problem dont make a big problem out of it. Finally Jaya decided to take things in hand .she kicked rajesh when he comes to slap her. Rajesh was extremely humiliated and started to question his masculinity while hearing his brother.s advice. What happens next is the rest of the story.
When coming to performance of actors both Basin joseph, Darshana rajendar have delivered outstanding performance. Basin delivered the excellent body language of egoistic masculinity man features. He frequently use to twist his moustache to show his manliness. Jaya ?s fight scenes are little bit extravagant when comparing with reality.
This movie has hilarious background music, Nadeshwaram music is generally used for wedding ,but here it is used in husband and wife fight sequence which is quite hilarious in movie. And the commentary part is also quite appreciable.
Though this movie has social message you cant compare this with. "THE GREAT INDIAN KITCHEN". Which receive huge response all over India.Nwhich it also describes about reality of homemakers women.
